Marketing, Web Design, Development
Teen Tips support young people’s health and mental well being with onsite and online training, they came to Michael Bell One with a website that customers found hard to use and a design that didn’t fit their brand and the way they wanted to represent themselves.
Teen Tips provide incredible resources for parents and schools, so their site needed to host Q&A videos, podcasts, their blog and link seamlessly to their online courses, yet still appear uncluttered and easy to navigate around.
It was important that the team could easily update their website, adding blog posts, images and videos whenever they needed.
We split the Teen Tips site over two different CMS – WordPress and Thinkific – the majority of the site was built on WordPress. Users are directed to the Thinkific part of the site only when they start their online learning or want to buy a course.
The challenge was to create a consistent user experience over both websites, we kept the branding the same so wherever you are in the site it looks identical. Headers and footers are the same throughout the site, and when you move to the Thinkific site the call to action in the top right hand side changes to sign in, from learn more. Colours, fonts and basic layouts are the same throughout the site.
We created a bespoke theme in WordPress so Teen Tips had more control over page layout and design. Using WordPress meant it was easy to add a blog where they could host their podcasts, news and videos.
The new website was also geared up for SEO making it really easy for Teen Tips to optimise their Google search position by optimising their websites themselves.
“I am utterly over the moon with the website – it’s a triumph and I can’t wait to start telling people about it.”
Alicia – Teen Tips
We provided a clearer user journey to allow teachers & parents find the right courses for them, and streamlined the Thinkific system to make it easier to use.
By tweaking their branding, and using it consistently across the sites we built their visual brand awareness. WordPress is a simple Content Management System to use so Teen Tips have the freedom to update the site when they need to and can create the site they want using our unique website building systems.
